Re: Removing tree
Yipes, I haven't gotten a quote for one tree, but my guy said he'd give me a day rate for removal being I have an acre of creepy trees. We were going with an excavating company not a tree dude.

Removing tree
I got one quote from an arborist and it was double most of my quotes. I would look into tree removal companies.

Re: Removing tree
3200 was tree removal. Tomorrow is arborist. Sorry! Quote was originally 3800 and I told him that's nuts and he came down to 3200. Yes, it's a big tree but over 3000!? I almost cried

Re: Removing tree
Yeah, it's not out of the norm, depending on the situation. If it's close to or over the house, the cost will go up.
We just had a huge tree removed very recently. $1500, but it was in the front yard, not near anything, so they could easily get all of their equipment up to it, and had plenty of room all around the tree to work.
I was also a repeat customer, so he gave me a discount.

Re: Removing tree
I've had clients in need of tree removal estimates. Depends on the size of the tree, but for a large tree, it's usually in the range of $2500, give or take.

Re: Removing tree
Does that include removal, haul away, grinding the stump, and replacing the sod? How big is the tree? If it is a large tree in diameter and height, like above the roof line, and big than you could hug it, yes that might be reasonable. It is really expensive and the liability insurance costs are high. Get them to put you on the policy to protect you.

Removing tree
Tree removal is very expensive. we keep putting off having a huge tree in our yard trimmed because every quote is so expensive.

Re: Removing tree
I had tree removals done before sandy. I have 4 big trees in my yard I got quotes between 1100-2000 for each one.
Shop around for prices you might be able to find a cheaper quote

Re: Removing tree
Wait til Jan-March. Much cheaper with bare tree. We had the mother of all trees removed with haul away, stump grinding etc for under 2k.

Removing tree
totally depends on the size of the tree and how easy it is for them to remove it. i'e had trees removed from the front of my yard (super easy) for $1400 (for 2 trees). just got a quote for a large tree next to my house (wires are there, fence is in the way, close to the house) and it will be $2000 for the one tree. i would ask why the price is so high and get 3 quotes.

Removing tree
We had a huge tree move in 2012 that cost $1800, last year we had another one over the pool which I think was $1500.00. I'd say get all your quotes then call Dank Trees. We used them both times, now my neighbor will be using them and we plan on having them trim the trees while they are here as well. They were the cheapest and worked well.

Removing tree
Normal price but wait until December. I paid $1100 cash with them doing the paperwork for the permit requested by our village. I was quoted $5000 by Wonderland Tree which is a popular company people use around here. We used Campos- (631) 445-6277. They did an excellent job and we will be using them for a second tree. Waiting till dead of winter to call them again:)

Re: Removing tree
Too high. We had 4 separate, and very tall trees removed different times by same landscapers. $500-$800 each. (Including stump grinding) Keep getting quotes.
eta: we always paid cash

Re: Removing tree
My neighbor just had a HUGE tree removed for 3K, meanwhile I had 11 trees removed for 2500. It really depends on how big it is.
