It's almost 9pm...
Sorry - but I really don't think almost 9:00 is that big of a deal. I'm kind of glad to hear that 2 17 yr olds were OUTSIDE playing ball, not playing video games or getting into trouble somewhere

Yup, me too. I have three young kids who are in bed at that time, and I am usually cleaning my kitchen in my pjs with no bra on at 9 pm. I would not be too happy if my kids were woken up. So it would really annoy me if people rang my bell at that time unless it was a real emergency. Their balls are not.

I agree! I'd maybe be a little irritated if they woke up my kids by ringing the bell... BUT ultimately I'd much rather they ask for the ball back than just go into my yard & getting it themselves. Also, 9 pm isn't that late to me, and if they were polite in their request, I'd be ok with it.
