Help! 19 month old coughing with cold from 9pm to 2am!
My 19 month old daughter has been up all nigt coughing in her crib and unable to sleep. I believe due to a nasal drip What can I give her to get her through the night? She went to bed at 8:30 and it is 2am now and she is still coughing tossing and turning in bed. Thanks!

At that age, I had to give DS Claritin. His post nasal drip was caused by allergies. I gave him 1/2 teaspoon. They make a honey cough syrup for babies. It is all natural.

Sorry she had a rough night. I always put vapo rub on the boys (chest, back and feet) and put the humidifier on full blast when they start coughing and/or have a runny nose. This always helps my boys.

Re: Help! 19 month old coughing with cold from 9pm to 2am!
My son is 20months and does this frequently! This is what i do...
He sleeps with a cool humidifier every night. I sometimes use the little noses drops or the nasal spray (its just sterile water) That seems to clear up the congestion or the drip that he has. Although, he hates when i use stuff in his nose. I sometimes also give him a tiny amount of benadryl (less than 3/4tsp) to coat his throat if it's scratchy. He coughs so hard that he vomits in the crib and it's just a disaster! Trying to change him, change the sheets, etc. Also, make sure he has good air flow in his room and it's nit too stuffy
GOOD LUCK!
