Re: Open Floor Plan on Capes

We opened the kitchen/bedroom wall to make a huge kitchen. Not sure if that helps you at all?

Re: Open Floor Plan on Capes

They did it - 22 Kensington Ave, Massapequa, It is listed on sale. You can see pictures. Keep in mind that they have also extended the house to the back so regular cape would end up being much shorter. Friends of mine totally opened it, did not extend their house, and it looks great. Same as the one I listed above, just shorter (on left to the steps kitchen and dining, right just living room) In my opinion very important thing is where your bathroom is located. If it is in the back then you are ok. If it on the side (shorter wall of the house) it sucks in my opinion as the bathroom creates two smaller spaces (cannot make a kitchen big unless you start moving plumbing around) on both sides which are kind of awkward. This is just my personal opinion though, and maybe I have not seen a house, with this layout, done nicely. Thanks!
