Re: Northern Portugal
I remember luvbuffet went to Portugal but I can't remember if she went North or not. I'm from Portugal so ask away OP. :) Are you flying into Porto or Lisbon?

Northern Portugal
We are flying into Vigo Spain and then renting a car. I was thinking of taking a drive to Porto from Valenca one of the days we are there but not sure if thats the place to go to since its over an hour drive. I also think I want to spend a day in Spain as well but not sure exactly what to do besides eat and shop :)

Re: Northern Portugal
Ok, if you decide on Porto, I would do Rio Douro or a vineyard-type tour. You could also consider Viana do Castelo, it's a beach-town city before you hit Porto. You could hit the cathedrals, shop, and then stop at the beach for a bit.It also has some museums. Porto is more of a big city feel so not sure if that's what you're going for. I personally think Viana do Castelo is more picturesque.

Off question but Eunyboo- would you happen to know if any Portuguese language classes for both adult and kids? I had heard one of the clubs offered them but I can't find any now. Not sure if you're from Suffolk county though bc Nassau would be too far. Thanks for any insight :)

Re: Northern Portugal
I believe the Farmingville club offers them but I've seen them more for kids, not adults. I'm not sure. :(
If it's any help, unless you're talking to a very elderly person, you should've have much trouble getting around. English is a required language taught in school in Portugal.

Re: Northern Portugal
We went this year. We hired a private guide. He has a minivan and can get carseats. He was beyond amazing. PM me if you want info.
