Do you get to see him regularly throughout your cycle or do you just typically deal with sono techs or nurses?
I feel like I need a switch. I am currently with LIIVF but I just feel like another number there and don't feel like I get personalized care. I NEVER see/speak to the Dr. unless I reach out to him and talk over the phone. Any other reccs in Suffolk??
I'm actually considering two Drs in Nassau that my friends have been successful with, two different small practices. My friends saw their Dr. at each appointment. I'd have to leave my house by 5:30 am for monitoring if I chose either one of them but it may be worth it for personalized care.
ETA: What time are monitoring hours?? Is it by appt or first come, first serve?

Re: San Roman ladies
If memory serves me correctly, you have the option of debriefing with him after virtually all monitoring appointments. I don't know what their success rates are like at North Shore (check SART data) but he is extremely kind and tries to keep up with the research.

Re: San Roman ladies
San Roman's office is not run like LIIVF at ALL.
On most days you will see him; unless he is at a different location. But he is in his location most days of the week.
Just curious who are the other two doctors? I assume one is Palter in Woodbury.....him you will see every single time since he is pretty much the only Doctor in his own facility.

Actually in dr. Palter's office, he has dr. Maslow also. You can fm me about his office, but on most visits that were more than just blood work, I saw a doctor.

You see the sono tech and than you always meet with him or Dawn the Nurse Practitioner every time you visit. If he's not there in the building Dawn is. I think in the 4 years i've been seeing him I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I haven't seen him in the office. Also, if you don't see him when you are there and he needs to change something with your protocol he reviews everything and i've always gotten a call about things that need to be changed. This office is wonderful all around.

Re: San Roman ladies
Thank you everyone!
At LIIVF, they are considered a NYSHIP “Center of Excellence” so I didn’t pay copays for any visits or IUIs. Just some copays for the lab work. How does it work with other offices? Is there a copay for every monitoring visit?

Yes my one friend used Dr. Palter and saw him all the time. My other friend uses Dr. Zapantis and sees him at every appt and he even does all of the sonograms himself.

Re: San Roman ladies
I currently use LIIVF as well and feel the same way. I might need a change as I wait for results today that will most likely be a negative pg test.

I'm so fed up with them. I usually go to the Patchogue office but obviously needed to go to Melville on the weekends. This is the 2nd month in a row that they didn't call me with instructions following monitoring. I had to call the emergency nurse line to get results. And last month was the day I needed to trigger! And yesterday they should have called and told me that I needed to come in again for monitoring. They've also been waiting too long to call in my Ovidrel, which is causing delivery issues.
I have an appt. with Dr. Palter from Gold Coast IVF in a few weeks. I'm really looking forward to meeting with him. After I booked my appt. with them, I received a candle and welcome note in the mail. So nice!

Re: San Roman ladies
So I’m new to this board and not sure when I’m on the page how to see that I have a response ? I also use the Patchogue office. I have a friend who used Gold Coast. It’s just a hike for the morning monitoring . I also have had the Melville office not call me back with instructions on a weekend. They are always shutting down ! You have to be in a series before the lab shuts down which is so stressful.
