Re: when does DC wake up?

I'm just jealous of everyone's late schedules!
Last year DD's elementary school changed to an 830 am to 230 pm schedule.
The bus comes around 8 am.
That is EARLY compared to everyone else!
DS's HS bus gets him at 6:26. He wakes up at 5am! His choice, not mine... I leave for work at 6:30, so I wake up at 6...
I know! When I have to leave early for the train I see the poor HS kids standing out at the bus stop in the dark in the winter. Soooo early

when does DC wake up?
My kids are usually up anytime between 7 and 8 am.. and will usually watch tv or my older one will sometimes make her bed and get dressed before i am up (still trying to figure out how to get her to do this EVERY day) . I am not a morning person at all so I stay in bed until 7:45/8:00 and then rush like a lunatic and or leave the house a mess and/or look like a homeless person at work. I will wake the kids up at 8 if they arent up yet. Bus is at 8:26 but most days I drive them and we leave the house at 8:45. Helps alot to pack everything the night before.

Re: when does DC wake up?
Bus comes between 8:05-8:10. We usually head out to the stop around 8. Ideally, I try to wake DS up around 7, but sometimes let him sleep until 7:15.
He knows he eats breakfast first, then brushes his teeth and gets dressed. I usually pack his snack/backpack while he is eating breakfast. Once he is dressed and fed and ready to walk out the door, he can use the remaining time --- usually 15-20 minutes -- to watch TV or use the computer or something.
That system has worked well for us since he was in kindergarten (he's in third grade now).
