A lot of the windows in my house came with paper shades when we moved in. We recently redid our living room and it's the first room to have drapes.

Curtains or blinds ?
We have wood blinds in most rooms and shades of some sort in our dining room, entrance way and spare bedroom. Everything is from the previous owner. They had curtains on all the windows too but we removed them. We aren't curtain people, plus I have two little ones who I am pretty sure would rip them down. I will say these people did not go cheap with their window treatments, they did however, with everything else in this house lol.

Curtains or blinds ?
We have nice shades and I like the clean look and the to see the nice molding. I also have little kids so I see them getting ruined so maybe in the future but not anytime soon.

Both.
Only my massive living room window has a shade, with sheer curtains the width of the window, and side panels.

Blinds on most of the windows. Paper shade on one of them. Blackout curtains in all of the bedrooms.

both:
all bedrooms have curtains and shades
kitchen/dining has blinds with valances
den has silhouettes with a valance
living room has sheer curtains, valance and shades (it gets tons of sun during the day)
