Stew Leonards?
A few of my friends have been saying i need to check it out. What's all the hype about? I live in Ridge, is it really worth the drive?

They have good meats, produce, apple cider donuts, but I wouldn't say it's worth the drive from Ridge.

It's not a supermarket in the traditional sense.
I go for the fresh fruits and veggies, meats, really fresh fish, dairy. Bakery items, deli on occasion.
I like the prepared soups. Easier than me making a pot for just DH and me, and this way I can get varieties that he doesn't like.
I drive to Farmingdale from Bayside every week or every other depending upon our schedule. I'll hit up Shop Rite every 6 weeks or so to fill in items that I can't get at Stews, BJ's for cleaning supplies.

If addressed to the OP, East Meadow is even farther from Ridge.
If addressed to me, yes I did try it but did not like the store layout or the parking lot.

Oops didn't do the quote. Yes I was asking you. :) I like the one in Farmingdale too. I went once so far to get the edible cookie dough and didn't like the parking lot either. Too small compared to Yonkers and Farmingdale. I didn't walk the store tho.
