Has anyone gone to very furry Christmas at sesame place? How is it? Should I do dinner with elmo, Rudolf, or Santa? Will dinner interfere with other events?

We go to Sesame Place during Christmas every year. We love it. Very pretty decor. Their Santa(s) are top notch. We have our Christmas cards made up from the photos we get there.

We don't do character meals...my kids are just not interested in the food. Rudolph is new this year so if I had to choose between the three, I would say Rudolph...I could see the photo lines being long. We always do Santa right away because the line is short, and it give us opportunity to go back if we are not happy with the pictures. Elmo is not a deal breaker for us so we can do that anytime.

Also keep in mind that the park hours are shortened (1-8 many weekends) so consider possibly spending the weekend (we always do).

Good luck and if you have any questions, feel free to ask! (We are planning on going next weekend)

Re: Sesame Place

We have been. How it is depends on the weather. One year, DD didn't want to do anything outside because it was so cold.
The reindeer meal is new and it looks like it's only at noon. Elmo and Santa should be together and I think they have noon, 2pm, and 5pm.
We like the character meals. The way I look at it, we have to eat so we might as well eat with the characters. The food IMO is good and better than some of the other options at the park. The sweet treat desert thing was ok last year. It wasn't as fun as the meals and a lot of people just grabbed desert and left. That did give us a little more interaction with the characters.
If you do a meal at noon, it's before opening so that doesn't conflict with anything else. You can look up the show and parade schedule now if you want to decide if the other meals are good for you.

How bad are the lines during this time? Do I need the magic queue?

In my experience, the lines are never really bad around this time of year. I think much of that depends on the weather. We have never done the magic queue because we have season passes and if it's crowded, we just leave and come back later.

Not sure how old your kids are, but my four year old handles the lines pretty well....my one year old could care less.

I don't recall the lines being bad around Christmas, but that doesn't mean they won't be, especially if you get a very nice weekend. A couple of trips we took this year, I couldn't believe how long the lines were. In general, Sesame seems more crowded than when we started going in 2015.

I should also mention that they did have an offer about a week or so ago that was $20 for two days. Not sure if that will impact the crowds...
