CTLE courses
for anyone with a professional certification and has to do the 100 CTLE hours, where have you been doing them? I've been googling for hours and trying to find somewhere that offers free PD online and is CTLE approved. I can't believe you have to pay out of pocket for all of these courses....

If you work for the DOE, your district regional centers offer during the school day and pay your admin for subs...I am almost done with a 3 part series I signed up for (not sure how many hours for each, but hoping a decent amount). I have a colleague who is doing two of these but I couldn't and am going out on maternity soon so I might do online just to have it off my head. I just got an email that NYSUT is doing online and looked reasonable..it really irritates me because we have mandated PD time that used to count and was factored into our last contract and now I'd either like the time back or for them to pay for online that counts during that time...ok..off my soap box...

I 100% agree with you... I feel like the DOE should do something where a certain # of Monday PD hours need to be CTLE approved PD activities. That would be nice, considering we need to be there anyway
Okay, so I'm in district 25. There's an office that offers PD during the day that is also CTLE approved?

great- so i would just scope them out and if I was interested in any, I would get my principal's approval to go, correct?
That would be great if I could do a couple of those per year. I wouldn't have to pay, then!

If you work for a public school including the DOE they are responsible for reporting your 100 hours. Meetings and PD will get you to 100 - you are stressing over nothing.

Mondays no longer count. As for the district ones, yes, let your admin know, they get paid for your sub
