Is it possible DD's class isn't doing a class gift?

I haven't heard anything about a class gift and it's now 12/19 so either it's not happening or I missed it. So is it possible the class mom isn't organizing anything (which is fine by me), or was I just left out?

I don't think it's possible that I missed a note/email/text.

I also don't know who the class mom is lol.

My kids classes have actually never had a class gift. My kindergartener doesn't have a class mom and she didn't in 2 years of preschool either. My 3yo has a class mom which is my first experience with that and there was no collection.

My son is in two classes, one did a collection, the other did not.

You never received anything at the beginning of the year introducing the class mom? That's usually standard.

At this point, I'd just assume they aren't collecting for a class gift. I'm the class mom for my daughter's class and just got around to sending the letter for the collection on friday, but I think you would have gotten something by now.

DS1 is in 4th and a class parent has always collected money for a holiday gift and end of the year gift for the teacher. DS2 is in K and I haven’t heard anything about a class gift. I like the class gifts because I’m not creative at all and it’s one less gift that I need to figure out. No w I’m going to scramble to get his teacher a gift.

DS's school does not do the class mom thing. We are in a special ed class but there is never any chit chat between parents. Except if you go to boy scouts because all the boys are in boy scouts. Except mine. There was no class gift last year and none this year.

It’s possible, I thought the same thing for my DS class this year, but they sent out a ton of emails about the class party and no mention for class gift. So I just bought a gift card for her, although I’ll be honest and say she doesn’t deserve it, so I’m very curious if I’m not the only parent who thinks that.

DS is in K. we get emails from the class mom all the time. for every upcoming holiday party. she sent out an email for the class gift several weeks ago. with break starting next week, i would assume they aren't doing a class gift.

I am the class mom. I collected money in September and will be giving the class gift which is cash wrapped in a mailbox.
