Class Gift --- WWYD in this situation?

Between DS's preschool and daycare I have 5 teachers, 3 therapists and a bus driver.

DS's preschool's class mom had us all donate $10 each in the beginning of the year for parties and stuff. There is about 12 in his class. So $120 total.

I got an e-mail yesterday that they are going to buy a class gift for his class teachers (3 teachers) with what is left of that money and not to worry about buying them a gift.

I kind of feel like I should still buy them something. It doesn't seem like the gift could be anything extremely significant if they only had $120 to start with split between 3 teachers from all 12 of the students.

Would you also get them something else from us individually? I'm not trying to spend a fortune here but kind of feel like they deserve to get more.

For the record, I love the idea of the class gift because it makes it so much easier.

We usually give a gift in addition to the class gift. This year we're giving Barnes & Noble gift cards and this crayon initial project that they made for each of their teachers. We have to finish up the last 2 for DS's class today.

$5 gift cards Would be fine! Believe me the teachers know that there are a lot of adults in that room and people cant afford to do larger gifts with that many.

I am a teacher and last year there were 5 adults in my room including me. A $5 gc would have been a great gift.

I don't know-I wouldn't want to make anyone feel badly, but at the same point I would want to do a something extra. Tough call!

I always chip in for the class gift and then do a small gift on my own. I never feel that the chipping in is enough.

I would probably give something small like a $10 GC or something or maybe something from bath and body.
We do a class gift but my friend still gives some little and I have seen other mothers do it too.

I actually really like the picture frame with the crayons and I might steal that for the kids classes.
