PFL and quitting
If you quit your job a week before you are about to go on leave, are you still eligible for PFL?

PFL and quitting
No, as you’re no longer an employee.

Re: PFL and quitting
No because you don't work there anymore. Why would they pay a person who isn't employed by them for family leave?

Re: PFL and quitting
Definitely not. I think you'd even have to pay some of it back if you quit instead of coming back after leave.

Companies have different policies about that.
I was paid 100% while out on maternity leave for 12 weeks. I came back, worked 2 days, and quit. They had essentially replaced me while I was gone, so I think they were just happy I left quietly (I lined another job up, but they didn't know that). I didn't have to pay anything back.
But to answer the OP's question - nope, definitely not! You quit. Who would be paying for it?! Your former employer? No.

Yeah in your case it was definitely in their best interest to shut their mouths. I mean isn't it illegal to replace a person who is out on family leave? Isnt' that the whole point of FMLA?

I still had a job for the same pay and they kept telling me that I would have loads more responsibility. But the truth was, they fired the head of my dept (who was my manager), hired a replacement, and then hired someone in between us. Instead of reporting to the head of the dept, I had to report to this middle person, so I basically took a step down in seniority. Plus, that new person was going to be doing my old job, so I wasn't really clear on what I was going to be doing. For the 2 days I went back, I literally did nothing. And the most telling sign? When I quit, they never replaced me.
