Amazon Wishlist/Kids Birthday?

So DD is turning 3 in May and I made an Amazon wishlist for her birthday, mainly for some family members who always ask for ideas. We are having a "kid party" for her and invited all the kids in her class at daycare. The parents are RSVP'ing via text message. My question is, when they RSVP that they are coming, would it be rude of me to offer the link to her Amazon list? For example, if I respond: "Great. Thanks so much for letting me know! She'll be so happy that _____ (insert name of child) will be at the party! If you're interested in gift ideas, I have an Amazon wishlist for her. Let me know if you'd like the link!"

Is this rude? Or tacky? My thought is that most people will likely order from Amazon anyways and that if they're spending money, that it would be best spent on something she wants/would definitely like. Thoughts?

Ugh, I know, it's tough. We do the same thing for DD's birthday and only provide the wish list unless people ask. Some do, most don't. But then again, I'm always appreciative when there's a wish list. It really could go either way.

I would only share with family who asks. I don't think I'd give it to classmate parents even if they ask for suggestions. I've had a surprising number of parents ask and I just give them generic ideas (books, craft stuff, games) and sometimes just tell them the favorite characters they can't go wrong with.

No way. It would rub me the wrong way if I rsvped to a party and the mom, unsolicited, sent me the wish list.

It’s one thing if people ask for ideas.

I noticed that a lot of parents will RSVP to DD's parties and ask for ideas.
If they do, then I'd tell them about the list.
If they don't ask, I'd just say- Thanks, so glad they are coming. And leave it at that.

This exactly. I don't make a wis list, but for family will let them know exactly what they want. For friends I say things like... he's into anything Avengers, clothes, sports stuff or say the teams, chapter books like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, etc.

Sorry but yes it’s tacky. I’ve asked and gotten the wish list but only after I asked. I’d never send it out without someone specifically asking for it

I would definitely not do that, unless someone asks for ideas. Often when parents RSVP they will also ask for ideas, so I think that then it would be appropriate to share the list. But otherwise definitely not.

We recently got an invitation with the wish list on it. While I totally understand the reasoning, I wasn't thrilled. I was surprised that this particular mom put it on there.

Agree with others. Don't offer it up unless asked for gift ideas.

While I would never do it, I don't think that putting it on the invite is terrible.
If you don't want to go off the wish list, you dont' have to. You can still get something else, or a gift card or whatever you would normally give.
But others might be thrilled to have a list of ideas.
I know myself, I have a hard time buying gifts for other kids, so I'd love if I had a list to go off of.
