Question re: birthday favors-what would you do for older kids

I had something planned for the youngsters but we'll have some older kids that are teenagers. Is it ok for me to just not worry about them or would you give them something and if so what would you suggest. The party is a ballerina theme so I don't think anything I do for them will fit with my theme. I should also add I bought stuff to make chocolate ballet slipper lolipops for adults so will that be enough to cover these older kids?

I think the lollipops are plenty. Don't worry about getting them anything else.

I'm not giving any to anyone past 5.

I do have treat bags filled with candy for everyone though, they can help themselves to those.

I think that's fine.

Last year I did a patriotic theme (Maddie's birthday is a few weeks before July 4th). I had bandanas, hackysacks, frisbees for the older cousins.

This year I'm debating what I'm doing for favors....something with a luau/surfer theme I think.

Past five is JMO a short cut off. I'd do favors for anyone under 10. Teenagers would even be embarassed to get a kiddy favor anyway.

I didn't give the older kids, just the ones under 12
