Re: What $$$ to give for a wedding??
If the family of 4 includes younger children I think you can do less for a gift $350 to $400

Re: What $$$ to give for a wedding??
I know I am considered cheap but I would probably do around $250 . I don't believe in having to cover my plate

Re: What $$$ to give for a wedding??
How old are the kids attending? In my family, my aunts and uncles give $500 to each niece/nephew who gets married. Once us cousins are college aged, we give our own gifts. I think $500 is what I would give.

At least $500. No question.
I agree. $500-$1,000 would be appropriate.

I wish you all came to wedding!
There's no one on this planet I would give $1000 to for a wedding.
I would personally do $400 max, but apparently I'm cheap.

You give what you want and can afford. I would never give 1000 even to my sister.

Re: What $$$ to give for a wedding??
$400 or $500 is completely fine. Maybe if you are earning >$200k per year you could give more.

Re: What $$$ to give for a wedding??
considering where you're located and the "local customs," $500-$750 is quite reasonable.
luckily, the world i'm currently living in requires a little less of wedding guests out here (socal), the going rate is closer to $300-$500 for the same scenario.
