Toddler bed?
DD is 2.5 and still in her crib. She fell trying to climb out once last year and that seems to have scared her so she hasn’t attempted any climbing since. I told her that once she starts going on the potty she can have a big girl bed and she tells me “no thank you, I love my crib” so that backfired.
When did you make the switch? I feel like people look at me like I have 6 heads when I say she’s still in a crib.

Dd2 is about to turn 3. Just potty trained. She also has never climbed out. We’ll prob convert her crib to a full bed 3 1/2 too.

Toddler bed?
DD was 2 1/2. We did a toddler bed for about a month and it was a waste. We put her in a twin bed with bed rails shortly after that.

Toddler bed?
We were going to transition our oldest at 2.5 before his brother was born. Then we ran into friends while toddler bed shopping, and they told us to put off the transition as long as possible and offered us their old crib for the baby. The oldest started jumping out a few months after the baby was born, so then we had to transition him, but I definitely understood why our friends said not to rush it.

Toddler bed?
All of them were out of cribs at 2.5. My youngest just turned 2 last week, we will probably switch her right after the holidays.

Re: Toddler bed?
They look at you like you have 6 heads because she’s still in a crib at 2.5? First of all that’s super judgy of these people and second, if it works for you and makes your kid feel secure and sleeping well then who cares what people think?
My DS is going to be 5 in August and is still in a crib. He likes it and tells us he does not want to switch. He sleeps very well so frankly, I don’t care if he wants to sleep on a sack or hay as long as he sleeps well on it.
People don’t question it or care....... For a while I felt judgment from a few people but eh. Those people do plenty of things I wouldn’t do, so it all balances out.

Re: Toddler bed?
I kept all my kids in cribs until I couldn’t due to lifting as the babysitter broker her wrist (4 for the boy, 2.5 for the girl). They were both fully potty trained before (I used pull ups at night and it’s not like they go solo to the bathroom).
After cribs, they were still in the “cribs” with their face off (toddler beds). A toddler bed is no larger, so what’s the point of getting another bed???
My DS got a “big bed” at 7... we used the conversion kit to his crib.
DD is still in a toddler bed at 6.5 and is very tall and still comfy and happy.
DD 2 (almost 3) is in a face-off crib, potty trained and loves it.
No need to push it.

Toddler bed?
3.5 years old. He had been potty trained for 10 months but we still had him in a pull up overnight just in case.
We took the face off his toddler bed in October.
He got a full size bed in April when he turned 4.

Re: Toddler bed?
DS1 was in a crib until the night before his 4th birthday when he moved to a twin bed with rails. DS2 is now 3y2m and still in his crib with no immediate plans to move him.

Toddler bed?
Less than 18 months old. He hated his crib and never slept in it. I used it for storage. Waste of money

Re: Toddler bed?
DD turned 2 in April and is potty training but I have no plans to move her out just yet. We're trying for another baby so if/when I get pregnant we'll start thinking about it. She has never tried to climb out, but can climb in.
