she is still in a 5 point booster. Britax Frontier. She will be 8 in january. Just havent and don't really want to move her to a booster seat with just a seat belt though she does sit in one in other cars

Car Seat??
my DS will be 8 in november... he's in a Graco Nautilus. Its a high back booster that you use with the car's seat belt. (it has a harness, too so it can be used for younger kids also...)

Here it is... Evenflo AMP
I like it because I had converted her Graco Nautilus to be a high back booster with the seat belt and it was SO FRIGGIN WIDE that she had issues buckling the seat belt around it. Even DH and I had issues. And if you have a small car, or multiple car seats/boosters in the back, forget it.
The thing was HUGE
We dumped it and got 2 of these - one for each car.

I have a booster 5 point harness for her but she is begging to switch to a seat belt booster for when we are just driving local
Half her friends dont even sit in a car seat - which to me is crazy!!!
So this is exactly what I am looking for
Does your car seat have a latch system?

No, this booster just sits on the seat. When she isn't in my car, I seat belt it in to prevent it from becoming a flying object in an accident.
These boosters do not need to be latched when the child is in it. It just positions the belt to hit them properly.

Yes it uses latch, but just so the seat doesn’t fly all over the car when my DD isn’t in it
