Hotel with shuttle to Disney and Universal

We're in the very early stages of planning a trip to Orlando next summer. My kids are torn between going to Disney or Universal. I am thinking we might do a couple of Disney parks, perhaps Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios and Universal and Island of Adventures. Is there a hotel that is located between the two theme park areas that provides shuttle service to both? TIA!

Yes. Lots of hotels have shuttles to both. Even very inexpensive hotels often have shuttles. The only negative about shuttles are that they often run a few times a day... so very hard if you have young kids, but I would do this as a young adult.

If you can, I would stay at a Universal resort because they are MUCH nicer than the Disney resorts with far better restaurants and nightlife. At certain ones, you use your room key as a fast pass for rides. (Portifino, Hard Rock and the Pacific looking one). You can easily Uber for the day(s) you do Magic Kingdom.

Only issue if you have kids is the height requirements are higher and stricter at Universal. I have a short kid in our family, so Universal is off for a few years.

The other negative about most of the shuttles, is that they drop you off at the either Epcot or the Transportation and Ticket Center at the MK. Then you have to transfer to the park you want to get to, which wastes time. I would just rent a car. They aren't expensive in FL Typically. Plus, you need transportation from the airport.
