Anyone else have horrible sunburn after the weekend
I have to say, I’m usually so good with the sunscreen. But Sunday out on the water I was freezing with my sweatshirt on most of the day and it slipped my mind. Then Sunday afternoon at a BBQ , I noticed my arms , shoulders and beck were pink. So , I stayed in the shade the entire day.
Then yesterday, we were spending the day at the marina so I sprayed. 2x. No water or anything but reapplied just Incase. Well-sunburn on top of sunburn is a b1tch! Back of my neck and my forehead caught the brunt of the pain. My arms and shoulders hurt but not as much as my neck. Cool cloths, 8lbs Of after sun lotion, aloe lidocaine gel, and I’m ready for my next coat of coconut oil as soon as the gel dries
What a disaster!!
Please, for the love of all things holy REMEMBER YOUR SUNSCREEN EVEN IF ITS COLD OUT!!!

Yep my son, the sun was was strong. He was away with my sister, was wearing a hat and she applied a lot of sunscreen. But he still came back burnt.
I find the cream and reapplying with spray works with my son.

Yes. Me. We went to the Mets game on Sunday(even w/ sunscreen on still got burnt), and I was outside painting my deck on Monday. The sun was blazing this weekend.

I also was just sitting outside with the dogs yesterday and got a lot of color. I don’t burn easily but I realized I should’ve applied sunscreen to protect my skin. The sun was blazing.

Re: Anyone else have horrible sunburn after the weekend
For a while, I would apply before I even left the house but my VitD was very low. Dr suggested I sit out for 15-20 mins first and then apply. So that’s what I’ve been doing from last summer and now this summer. But that cold wind really threw me off my game and It slipped my mind. So pissed! Lol i literally cannot put a shirt on

Me! What are you all using to keep it from peeling?

I’ve been putting banana boat after sun lotion on every few hours Once the stinging stops, I’ll alternate with coconut oil. But I feel like I’m gonna be a peeling mess anyway. We’ll see

Anyone else have horrible sunburn after the weekend
I am NUTS about sunscreen (my sister had melanoma at age 30) so I reapply and reapply and reapply SPF 50 in addition to always wearing a hat. Even my 5 year old son is nuts about it. He pretends to apply it to his baby dolls. He also reminded his daycare teacher that she needed to apply it to him last week since it was the first sunny stretch we'd seen in FOREVER.

Try a mix of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. It takes the sting out and helps with preventing peeling.

I did that all night last night - still stinging lol But I know it’s just a matter of time. Taking it easy. Lathering my body every couple hours and currently have coconut oil all over my neck
I look pathetic - what a dope

Anyone else have horrible sunburn after the weekend
I discovered last year on Facebook a WONDERFUL hack for sunburn. I was skeptical but I have very pale skin and usually get at least one burn a season (even though I wear sunscreen). Anyway, the hack is to use menthol shaving cream (not the gel type). You lather up your burnt skin and let it sit for a half hour (which is no problem because the mint feels heavenly on the burn) and then wash it off in room temperature water. The next day you wake up tan. If you google I am sure you can find the viral post but that is the gist of it.
