Just bought groupon for costco membership...

It's on Groupon and Living Social. $60 membership with $20 gift card and a ton of coupons.

My question is, if I lend my SIL the card to use, do they check ID when checking out to be sure you are who you say you are? I know BJs doesn't. Just curious. I want to put her on my acct but they said she needs mail with her name and my address (The girl at the counter was cool about it saying ANY MAIL - no need for her license to match, etc) But I'm wondering if I just give her my card when she wants to go, if she'll be stopped

My SIL uses my card but pays cash. If she uses a cc with a different name they’ll stop her.

They don't necessarily check, but if they find out it's not you, they can revoke your membership. No refund.

I use my sisters card all the time. They never check. I think as long as it’s not a guy using a woman’s card or visa Versa it’s usually fine.

Plus we have the same last name so maybe they won’t even pay attention

It’s not worth us both getting memberships. I only got it because of the Groupon and I like trying diff stuff. I have a Bjs membership but always renew w Groupon and it’s like $25 a year
And with them, you don’t have to live in same house to put someone on
