Christening gift
If your husband is the godfather and purchase the cross chain for like 150.00 are you suppose to give a gift on top of that?? We are a family of 2 adults and 2 toddlers
The party is at a restaurant in there private room. No DJ or anything just lunch

Re: Christening gift
If I were the parents I would say that is more than enough. I’ve had 3 baptisms and that’s all my children got from their godfathers. And I never expected more.

Re: Christening gift
We always give more but I’m sure we just over gift.
We’ve been godparents together two times. One time we got Gown, change into outfit, cross & chain and gave an extra $100. Second time we just had to get change into outfit, cross and keepsake hankie to use at her wedding, so we gave an extra $200.

Christening gift
For my godson, I split the cross with his godfather, bought his outfit and gave $100.

Re: Christening gift
None of my kids received anything additional beyond the cross from their godfathers and I wouldn't have expected anything either. That's enough.
