Spinoff to Christening gift... Gift from Godfather?
My DH's goddaughter's Christening is coming up in about a month. What is an appropriate gift? (He's never been a godfather before so he's clueless and so am I).

in my family he would be responsible for the cross, and the godmother would be responsible for the christening outfit
i think we got our godson a cross and a $1000 bond

I'll have to ask our friend (the mother) if her sister (the godmother) is getting the christening gown... I always thought the GM was responsible for the cross. Thanks Tilde!!
