How long should you stick it out before looking for a new job? I got a vibe from day 1. Truthfully I got a vibe when on the interviews but the money and experience aspect was too good to pass up. It's been 3 months and the more I stay the more I know this wont be long term for me.

Should I try and stick it out for a year or do I just start applying to other positions. If I do get an interview what do I say when I tell them I just started a new job?

What does the rest of your job history look like? If you tend to be at places a while, then I think it's fine to start looking for something else - especially since you don't know how long it'll take to find something else. I hated my last job at 3 months and I was stuck there almost 2 years b/c I couldn't find something else.

If you get an interview, just tell them it isn't a good fit.

How long were you at your last job?
I hvn't been in this situation, but if your job history is good (you haven't been jumping around a lot) and especially if you had longevity in your last role, I'd look to jump now. You're fixing a mistake, not jumping around.

On the other hand, even if you've been jumping around before, leaving after a year or 2 will look kind of like jumping around. So its not going to look better at the end of a year.

I'd include it on the resume as to not look like I'm unemployed and be ready for the qustion about why so soon, along with a PC answer that doesn't make you look like you can't handle the job and doesn't make you look like a complainer.

There is absolutely no reason to stick it out. One short job stint is not a big deal. I had a job that I, too, felt was not right from the beginning. Since I had already been interviewing, I was still getting calls and kept casually looking. Within 3 months I was out and at a new job. I don't even bother with it on my resume.

most people change jobs every 2-3 year. Its the norm in my opinion. However, my friend tried to get a job at my place and HR asked me why she changes so often... I still think its the norm. Companies dont care about keeping workers long term. Good Luck, and start looking

Same - except I was there 7 MOs. I had been unemployed for 10 MOs before i got an offer so i took it and I was beyond miserable.

I’ve only been at my new job 4 months and there are annoying things but i appreciate it so much more since it’s so much better than the last place.
