Taking a temporary position, WWYD?
I currently WAH on a freelance basis with my 16 month old DD. I was recently approached about doing an in-office stint 3 days a week all summer. I still have to interview for the position, but I'm not sure if I should proceed or not. On the one hand, I want to jump on it: Getting to go to a grownup office for a few days a week and making decent $ for it sounds amazing. But then I have to figure out childcare for DD. I'd be commuting to the city, which means long days. It's only three months, but I'm afraid DD and I will be miserable with the abrupt change. Thoughts?

It's only 3 days a week. If childcare and commuting costs won't be eating up a significant portion of the money you'd be making, I'd do it.

Re: Taking a temporary position, WWYD?
I had a similar situation lately. potential for a full time temporary summer position after staying home with DD and DS for the past 3 years. I decided that if I was offered the position I woudl take it. Its only 3 months and in your case, part time, so I would definitely go for it if the money works out and the value to your career is good. good luck!
