On the subject of Masks...

I do not want to even try to purchase a mask because that attempt will take away from the essential workers who need them more than I do.

What I do want to do is make one. I don't have a sewing machine and I could try sewing it from hand but who knows how that will turn out.

What are you all doing? What type of material are you using? Do you wash it after each time you use it in public?

I don't want to go to the store to get material so I was thinking of using clothing that my kids have outgrown. Most of which is cotton.

I use the bandana video above.

I have so many, so each time I go out I will use a different one. And yes, wash after every use.

You can do this with an old scarf too or an old shirt, anything really.

On the subject of Masks...

I ordered one from Etsy. I have to wear one when I go into my office so I figured I might as well get one that is machine washable. I’m going to put our issued surgical masks inside the handmade one (I purchased one with a pocket).

If you didn't know, Joann's is giving out free mask sewing kits. Drive up and they will bring it out. You could probably and sew, it's not hard to make them. I used a tutorial on YouTube, but I have a sewing machine.
