Re: Ok this is a vent post
Today was rough and I feel bad for the kids. My 8 year old understands more than his brother and sister and its hard. He can't see his Nana and Papa, trying to have his mom teach him money and writing a story about learning from your mistakes was not in the cards. I text messaged his resource room teacher by phone so she can video conference him tomorrow. Im overwhelmed with online school, and I feel so bad for everyone in working in hospitals. I worry about my husband who works in a food store and I hate that Im annoyed that he gets to take naps while I deal with the kids from 6:30am all day!! I need to let them watch tv more that is my problem.
I need there to be an end, I need to know that I can get to the library or Marshalls, or my kids can go to the parks. I want to see my parents, my kids need to be in school and I need to be able to get to Disney since we had to cancel it in March. I want my kids to get to school to hug their teachers, one whose father died from this virus and for them to clean out their desks and see friends. I hate that I get up each day praying that my parents are ok and relived that we made it through another day. Im tired, so tired and sad. This will pass but when, and will things really be the same??

I think I’m having a moment and need to jump onto the vent boat...
I think the realization I’m having now is that this is not going to end in the way that we hope. The curve will downtrend and in a month or 2 social isolations rules will slacken. Then the second wave of the virus will ensue and the infections that were intentionally held off so the hospitals wouldn’t be overwhelmed will come. The fall will arrive and as always, the flu and now COVID will uptrend to those not infected yet. No viable vaccine will be available so soon, at least not one id be willing to try without better testing. God help us is the virus mutates the same way flu does every year and we start again with no immunity. The country won’t make it through that. If there is no mutation then there is hope that in 2021 our country’s health will stabilize. It’s just such a long road. Our country will never be the same.
Just read this... interesting take Someone posted it on facebook so i have no idea of the source though Article
Could not agree with him more! He’s talking about natural herd immunity, this type of immunity lasts a longtime therefore does not need boosters as it’s the case of vaccines. I believe at some point the UK was having the elderly and the immune-comprised in quarantine for this exact reason. I’m glad he had the balls to speak up about this because believe it or not a lot of ppl in the field do not. We don’t only need to achieve natural herd immunity to ultimately protect us and those that can’t handle a virus but we NEED sun light and fresh air to continue supporting our immune system which is our first defense against any possible disease. The only thing I don’t agree it’s when he said “exterminating” the virus. Viruses among other microorganisms do not get exterminated, they might become dormant but they will never disappear completely. They have existed way before us and will continue doing so. They have a role in this ecosystem just like any other living thing.

The people who aren't touting sunlight and air to boost immunity....what field are they in exactly?
