The comments in the news12 section
God forbid you say anything, people just want to argue.

After the article that NYC schools are closed I said it was sad for the kids to miss graduation and then I get all these people saying stuff like the kids need to get over, people are dying, it’s better than having people dying etc...

So because I feel bad for the students that means I’m indifferent to people dying? We are all allowed to have feelings. Just because someone has it worse doesn’t mean we can be upset about this. Feelings and empathy are still allowed and it doesn’t mean that someone isn’t grateful for what they have.

I don’t usually go in social media that much but since I’m home more I look at it more and sometimes find it hard not to engage with the morons

I know. That's why I don't comment on any public Facebook posts anymore. People will argue with you that the sky is green if you say it's blue.
Lovers with no lives and nothing better to do then pick fights with strangers on social media

I agree with this!!!

My niece is a Senior and will miss her prom and graduation. It is sad. She will never get those experiences back.

Also, I have tremendous respect for our healthcare workers (especially now!). However, I hate that whenever some says that something is difficult (homeschooling, living alone, working from home, feeling cooped up, dealing with kids 24/7), someone needs to jump in and say that what that person is upset about is nothing compared to what our healthcare workers are experiencing.

People are allowed to have feelings. They are allowed to be upset. There is no need to trivialize what someone is going through because you feel that someone else/you have it harder. There are many people who are struggling with their anxiety/mental health right now. Telling them to suck it up is not helpful!

that place is the 7th circe of hell. I unfollowed News12 on social media because I can't stand any of the newscasters and I don't get Optimum anymore either!
