Unemployment questions
I assume the only way to get questions answered is to go through the line which is almost impossible to get through. We did get through Saturday but the person knew very little they were only able to finsh my DH claim.
DH is basically being laid off every other week at work.
They are telling him to file unemployment the weeks he is not working.
I am hesitant to begin with on filing unemployment becuase I dont know if that really allowed but we did it.
when I went to claim his benefits first we got message that he hasn't filed since 3/29 which is strange to begin with since we only filed last week on Thursday. They asked if you have returned to work I at first clicked yes but it started asking all these questions so I went back then hit no
I claimed it for him but said he didn't return back to work cause he didn't for that week.
was I supposed to say yes since he is working this week but he wont be working next week?
I just don't want to be in the situation where will have to pay the money back.
I had to go on unemployment last year but it was straight forward i was not working it was for a few months straight.
i am just confused how we are supposed to do this every other week. I dont want to have to keep opening a new claim every week and I am afraid if we say yes he returned we will have to do that.
Has anyone filed every other week for unemployment?

Re: Unemployment questions
A couple of years ago I helped my mom with her unemployment and she worked sometimes during a week and not others.
You had to call every week to certify your weekly benefits (I'm assuming you can do this online too) even on the weeks that she worked.
I would answer the questions appropriately and on the last questions, have you returned to work, I would answer no. The weeks that she worked, she didn't receive unemployment.

thanks I will do what you stated. Hopefully we will be able to get in contact with someone this week to confirm what we should be doing
