Did you buy a snowsuit to take the baby home in if delivering in December/January/February? I still don't have anything and wasn't sure what to get. TIA

Re: Winter mommies
No. It's not necessary and besides, you wouldn't want to have them in a big snow suit in a car seat anyway.
We just put a blanket over DD and used a shower cap style bundle me over the top of the car seat and she was fine.
We got a few snowsuits/buntings as gifts, but we rarely ever used them.

Nope, it's not safe to have a baby in a snow suit and I imagine it would be a pain stuffing a baby into that anyway! We just used a blanket, really.

Re: Winter mommies
I used the shower cap bundle me and got tons of use from the carters fleece jacket. I got her another for this winter coming up! People got us snow suits and I never used them, except if I was going for a walk and not using the car at all

I'm due in January and I got ds a cute fleece jacket in Carter's. I figure that with a blanket, dressed warmly should be ok.

DD was born in January and she wore pants with footies, a long sleeved onesie and a shirt over that plus a hat, thin blanket, and we had the bundle me shower cap for carseat and she was fine just have dh warm up the car beforehand.
She also lived in the carter's fleece pjs for the first 2 months. They were so warm and so easy to put on and take off and for diaper changes!

Dd was born at the end of Jan, we brought her home in a long sleeve shirt and pants outfit and put a hat on. We used the bundle me with a light blanket on the inside. I loved the bundle me, kept her nice and warm so no need for the duits

No. Big puffy attire isn't safe with a car seat. An outfit and a blanket and safe car seat cover will be more than enough.

Re: Winter mommies
I delivered my second daughter this past February. No snow suits. They are not safe to use in car seats. I put her in a long sleeved onesie, gloves, hat, a light fleece jacket and a blanket. Babies sweat a lot because they can't control their temperature.

We did the same - and put a hat on DS as well.
