*Spanish speaking teachers ... HELP
Tomorrow is parent teacher conferences ... can you help me translate a few things???
I can read spanish pretty well ...
I would like to say:
Hi, my name is Ms Lucas. Thank you for taking the time to come tonight. Regretfully, I don't speak Spanish but since you took the time to come here I wanted to make an effort to communicate with you.
*You can change whatever you need to ... or if you have anything to add that would be great.*
Also how do I say ...
Your child missed _____ homework assignments. Homework is an important part of my class and I'd like to see an imporovement in this area. I could use your help. Your son/daughter writes down their homework in the agenda each day. You may want to check it on a nightly basis to make sure its being done. That way we can both be on the same team and hopefully this will help _____ grades improve in the future.
WOW if anyone does this I would be so thankful. I also have a list of positive things that I can say but feel free to add anything.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I am going to give this to my principal so spelling and grammar are important. I will of course give you credit.
Thank you for potentially helping me break down a language barrier to help my students!!

Hola, Me llamo Ms. Lucas. Gracias por venir aqui esta noche. Desgraciadamente, no hablo espanol, pero queria hacer el esfuerzo de comunicar con Ustedes.
Tu hijo (or hija if it's a girl), no ha hecho ____tareas.
That might not be the best way to say it, but seeing how my brain is fried this week, that's the best I could come up with.
