nope. I just feel like you could find something similar cheaper. It is pretty though.

Find it for me then...lol I HATE dress shopping and don't have the patience to look.

I saw it in saks last week and it stuck in my head. I should prob try it on and if I still like it.. go from there.

And I like how someone pointed out that it's like spending $140 for a new dress for 3 weddings. I'd have a problem finding 3 dresses that I love.. so why not use $420 to get one that I'll be comfy in.

Thanks everyone!

Not sure where you live, but I often have a hard time finding dresses too. For some reason I always have luck at ABS in Manhasset. I think you could find something in there for a little less (usually around $300). I have 2 dresses from there and ALWAYS get compliments on them! I have worn each dress at LEAST 3 times as well!

Good luck! Chat Icon

I hate to spend a lot of money on something but that dress is gorgeous and it something tht I do not think will be out of style anytime soon. If you can wear it to a couple of events right away I think it would be worth the money in the end. How often do you really buy a new dress to go to a wedding in?

hell no. It's a beautiful dress but if you really do the research, which I know you can, you can find something similar for way less.

Re: Would you spend $425 on this dress?

The thing is with looking around for a cheaper dress, is I don't think it'll have the same fit and feel as this one. This is 100% silk, and it made well. I truly believe you get what you pay for. I have some other Diane von Fursteinberg pieces and they last, I think this dress would last a lot longer than a cheaper similar one... unless I get lucky and hit a sale!

Watch me try it on and hate it.. then all this back and forth won't even be worth it...lol

Thanks for all your opinions!!

Have you tried it on...if it looks great, then yes, I would buy it for $425.

Re: Would you spend $425 on this dress?

I think the dress is gorgeous, however I would not spend that much money on a dress. If I had the money to spend maybe my answer would be different, but I know I don't have an extra $425 for something I will not get a lot of use out of.
