Poll: Pedicures & Razor
If you do not get the razor to remove the dead skin for yoru pedicure, what do you get instead?

The razor is illegal, they use the pumus thing for me. I hate that razor it always freaked me out. I never would do it.

what is a scrapper? I just have them use a pumice stone. I used to have them use the razor until a woman told me it actually makes it worse....and I realized it did...the more I had them use the razor the rougher my heels eventually became. The razor seems to be a temporary solution.

the razor is illegal to use and I once saw someone use it on themselves and it caused a puddle of blood in the tub
A foot file is the best option because the pumice stone can hold lots of bacteria and fungus!

I go to a place that uses mini pumice stones, which they throw out after each use.
once every few months I get the dead skin removed with a razor - my own.

wait, is the razor the thing that looks kinda like a cheese grater? The arm of it looks like the arm of an old-fashioned juice container opener, and the top has a hole with a blade in it...
Hey, this IS illegal, isn't it!!! Does anyone know why? Sanitary reasons?
Ugh! I'll never let them use this on my feet again!!!

Cool!! Where is this place? I would go. I only had the razor once. Usually it has been the pumice stone. All of it grosses me out but I still want something done!

My salon uses the razor with disposable blades. I have them use it for my pedicure avery couple of months. It really takes care of business. I am not a fan of pumice stones...

I loved the razor until my salon said it was illegal to use it. Now they use a pumice stone on my feet.

I use the razor. They always take a fresh blade out...two salons around here will do it (nice ones, too) if you pay a little more....

it's a place in Patchogue, let me know if you want the name. this place is very hygiene oriented. they use a new set of implements which are sealed in a sterilized pouch and then toss them in a bin when they're done.
I guess there is a place that cleans and sterilizes them and then puts them in a sealed pouch. I have never seen that at any salon before. I am impressed.

I use foot file, pumice and razor. All my own. If it's your razor, it's not illegal by the health code.

I use all my own stuff, and I make sure they use disposable pumice stones. The credo knives are illegal and pumice stone used on other people's feet is just gross, not to mention unsanitary.
