Re: NYC Bulletin Board Rubric
Usually you make it on your own depending on what type of work. assignments the bb is based on.
For example, my 8th graders had to write a memoir as their first piece. The rubric I created for the assignment had the exact writing strategies I taught them during that unit...this ensures that I am specifically assessing what they learned during the unit.
There are samples of rubrics all over the wed. Education world may have some. Also I sent you FM with the writing rubric I just mentioned.

Re: NYC Bulletin Board Rubric
Thanks!!
So there isn't a standard rubric? So I can use all of the posters, bulletin backing paper, etc that I purchased and make the work that goes on the bulletin board fit the rubric????
What about a word wall? I want to have a "bueatiful language" wall and put all of our literature based vocabulary on it. I can have the kids work on it if that makes it "okay".

Your literacy coach will def. go over how your school wants it done, but I'd say your idea sounds about right. The rubic is just the way you are assessing the student work. Students can also help create the rubric themselves!
DOE loves word walls! See if you can have it as an ongoing thing...where the students use their reading to select the words that go on the word wall.
