Re: ** Anyone going for administration???
I just finished through College of St. Rose/CITE. Usually the program is 14-18 months, but due to certification changes, our group finished in 10 months.
I was in class all day every Saturday for the school year and July. It was worth it to me to complete it quickly. I would recommend the program.

Re: ** Anyone going for administration???
I'm going to C.W Post right now. It's 30 credits for the certification and 36 if you want the degree. I'm not sure if you work for the DOE but they pay half if you join a cohort.

I got mine from Queens College a few years ago. Not sure if I'll ever use it, but it's nice to have.

what is a cohort?
It's a satellite program. The classes are held through a teachers center in different districts. Then people can take classes closer to home or where they teach and not have to go to Stony Brook.

Re: ** Anyone going for administration???
I was doing it mainly online from St. John's...my school (well the diocese) paid for it. YET now I'm in a different diocese & they no longer pay for it & w/ buying a house, etc. its going to be on the back burner.

Check out this site
CITE
My husband just finished as well and he would recommend it.
I have mine through NYU, but I am under the old regulations. New regulations are more stringent and I believe NYU requires you pursue the Masters.
