Re: Quick Roast Chicken Question

I think I would put them all in at the same time, from the beginning.

I do this when roasting. I use the veggies to either, 1. make the stuffing, or 2. to flavor the meat as it's cooking.

Re: Quick Roast Chicken Question

Are you using a roasting bag? If so, they won't burn if you follow the directions for the bag.

throw some butter or margarine on them in the pan, so they won't stick, and they shouldn't burn.

Also, maybe about half way thru with the chicken, rotate the veggies around.

In the future - try the roasting bags - you add butter and flour with the chicken and veggies - place in a roasting pan, put in the oven and cook - it also keeps all the juices around the meat to make it more tender.

probably late for this, but potatoes will take longer than carrots in the oven.

potatoes will usually take 40-60 min in the oven normally when you bake them. All you can do is try and learn from what doesn't work.Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm sure your family will enjoy it.
