How long is it healthy to have fake nails?
I tried it this summer and LOVED the look, but after 3 months I got nervous and took them all off. What is a healthy amount of time to have fake nails on?
Im currently waiting for my nails to gow all back and them I will prob get fakies again

Im 42 and have had them on since about 23. No fungus, nothing. Never had a problem. Every once in a while I will get a complete new set.

had fake nails (silk wrap) for a loooooooooong time! probably 10 yrs or so. when I finally decided enough was enough, my nails were SO THIN and brittle. I would never get them again. I keep them shorter now and use Nailtiques formula 2 to keep them strong & healthy.

I had wraps for over 10 years and removed them right after my wedding. At first they were a little brittle but now they are great. Never really had a problem.

ITA! I will never go back to wraps again! Growing them out hurt and was a PITA!!!!

I had "fake" nails for almost 17 yrs and never had an issue. I took them off about 2 yrs ago and will NEVER put them on again.

I had fake nails for a very long time as well. Though I never had fungi, they became a nuisance and too expensive to maintain. Every other week it was an hour to an hour and half in a chair. I felt I could best use the money and time to get my nails done to better use. I even kept my nails pretty short for my wedding.

As long as they are kept clean and never allow moisture to get underneath them where bacteria can breed you can wear them for years.Just make sure you are prepared for the maitenance.

just be careful because of the lifting. I am a picker....so I wouldn't keep mine on for too long because I picked at them and they lifted, etc. so I was nervous about fungus/infection too.
