Need ideas for a cookie swap
I'm going to a cookie swap next week and I need ideas for an easy recipe. I need to bring about 2 dozen cookies and copies of my recipe. I'd prefer a typical holiday type cookie but it doesn't have to be. Please HELP!!!

Re: Need ideas for a cookie swap
I am going to a Cookie Party on Sunday. I am making Potato Chip cookies. They are so easy & taste yummy
3 1/4 Cups Unsifted Flour
1/2 lb butter (2 sticks)
1/2 lb margarine (2 sticks)
1 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/2 Cups of Coarsley Crushed Potato Chips
Powdered Sugar
* Cream Butter, Margarine & Sugar * Blend in Flour & Vanilla * Gently mix in chips
Drop by Tsp onto ungreased baking sheet - Lightly flatten w/fork. Bake @350 for 15-20 mins until barely brown - Sprinkle w/powdered sugar when cool

I did but some of those are more effort than I'm looking to do! And the 2 that I liked are very similar to recipes that I'm pretty sure my friends are already using.

Re: Need ideas for a cookie swap
I have some great cookie recipes, some simpler than others. Molasses Crinkles, which are sort of like a ginger or spice cookie. Snickerdoodles, which are cinnamon and sugar cookies and soooooo good. Peanut Butter Bars or Brownies (I have a simple from-scratch recipe) or Lemon Squares... Let me know if you want any recipes!

Re: Need ideas for a cookie swap
I make Meringue cookies every year. You can dye them red or green with a drop of food coloring to make them more festive.
3 large egg whites 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar 3/4 sugar
Heat the oven to 200 degrees and line your cookie sheet with tinfoil.
Beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until foamy. Add cream of tartar and beat until the form soft peaks, then star to add sugar little by little. Continue to mix until the form hard peaks (if you remove the mixer blades, the egg white will stand almost straight up where you pulled out the mixer)
Place in teaspoons sized blobs on the cookie sheet, or you can use a pastry bag (I dont).
Bake 1.5- 1.75 hrs, then turn off the oven and leave the cookies in overnight. This makes them crispy.
They must be stored in a tupperware, or they will get soggy.
These take a while to bake, but like 15 minutes to prepare.

If you could give me the molasses crinkles and the snickerdoodles recipe that would be great!! I might be able to do one of those. Thanks!
