DAD
I know my Mom has passed away almost 4 yrs in December, to be exact Christmas Eve we buried her. I still miss her so much that words can even express the miss and hurt that I still feel, through those yrs, I have gotten married, by brother has gotten married also.
My father has been dating ,that now he has met a nice lady and the shoe is on the other foot he stays at her house. It is funny when you lose the person that you love so much your world becomes so different, I know my Dad still misses my Mom but it is hard for me to accept the fact that he found someone. Will I ever get over this. I just want him to be happy, and he is..

My mom passed away when I was 16 and my dad started dating about 4 years later. He re-married after dating someone for two years. He always made it clear that our stepmother could never replace our mom. He still gets choked up whenever we talk about her. You may never get over the fact that your dad is with someone other than your mom, but hopefully you can just focus on your dad's happiness. It really is a relief for us that he has someone and he's not alone. I couldn't imagine him living by himself, especially as he is getting ready to retire.
