Are you kidding me
I have been training for a half marathon. Eating well, running about 5 miles 4-5 times per week. on the days i dont run i take the dog for walks.
DH is a home all summer. Granted he is working fixing the house, but he drinks beer and eats wendys while doing so. hasnt gone to the gym in months
We just weighed ourselves on Wii Fit. I gained 2 pounds, he lost 13.

Re: Are you kidding me
When I am training for longer races, my appetite aslo increases...I don't realize it until I sit down and think about it.
That, muscle gain and also, maybe your body is working too efficiently? Do you change up you workouts? speed, hills, easy, long days?

My girlfriend and I are the same exact height, and similar body shape. I work out 5x a week training for a marathon, and she does no physical activity but follows WW.
We were just comparing weight, and I weight 3-4lbs more than she does!!

Ugh men! It is SOOOO not fair that we work twice as hard with half the results they get!
Sounds like you are just gaining muscle, maybe throw in some light weight training to tone the muscle?

im definitely not eating too much - that was my problem last time i started running.

dont get me wrong, i am happy with the results so far. my clothes definitely fit better, its just that guy just have to think about loosing weight and it falls off

muscle weights more then fat
she must have very little muscle- which isn't good b/c muscle also burns more calories

Re: Are you kidding me
Muscle is more dense than fat. Therefore taking up less room, but still weighing the same amount. So, we need to be more concerned with body composition than body fat. This picture illustrates the idea (5 lbs of muscle vs 5 lbs of fat)
