Jewish Ladies - Erev Yom Kippur meals?
I can't fast this year since I'm pregnant, but my husband will be fasting for the both of us 
I still want to make a nice meal tomorrow before sundown for the both of us, and was wondering what you are all doing?
I was going to make Matzoh Ball soup, but scratched that since IMO, there's too much sodium and it's not a good before fasting dish.
My plan was to just do the old stand by:
Roast Chicken
Veggie
And my Avocado salad my husband likes. (good source of fat prior to the fast too!)
Kind of a boring menu and was hoping ot maybe change it up a bit...

Sure, it's so simple, it's ridiculous, but DH loves it.
One Avocado (it's only the two of us) cut into cubes and then a half a lime squeezed over the avocado so not to brown
Grape Tomatos quartered ( I usually use a handful)
chopped cilantro (again, no measurements, just enough for taste)
Sometimes I'll also cut up one scallion
Throw all the above in the bowl with the avocado, salt to taste, drizzle in olive oil (again, I eyeball it, no measurements)
Toss together and serve!

Soup- chicken with thin noodles( I do not cook with much salt)
Baked chicken
potato Kugel
Veggie
Challah
Kind of boring I know.

my mom always makes burgers... bc my dad likes to eat 3 of them before fasting!

Mashed Butternut Sqaush
Creamed Spinach (I know, bad jew, dairy and meat!)
Avocado Salad
