Re: Sinuses
Regular nasal irrigation helps with this problem. I use an electric irrigator but you can buy a neti pot if you prefer.

Re: Sinuses
I usually take Tylenol Sinus for temporary relief, but DH and I also started using this sinus rinseSinus Rinse and have both noticed it really helps a lot. Although if you are really feeling horrible (head is pounding, may have a slight fever) you probably have an infection already and should call your dr.

Re: Sinuses
Neti pots are supposed to work wonders.
I find long hot showers or steaming in the bathroom for a while, lots of hot fluids will keep everything from getting tight, humidifier if you have one, spicy foods will help you drain. Saline sprays work well too. If you can take them something with a decongestant works well.

Re: Sinuses
In October I was so stuffed and sick. It was like a flu with congestion in my sinuses. I got the sinus rinse at CVS and it really really helped. Right before bed and in the AM. I swear by it now. Give it a shot - the kit comes with the powder and all the instructions.

Re: Sinuses
This is all really good advice. I work for an ENT and this is what we advise. For more serious blockages the neti pot or sinus rinse with sudafed D or something like that might work well also but if you have a fever or the pain persists it might be an infection already.
For an infection you def need antibiotics.
