anyone diagnosed with vitamin D deficency?
My dr called me up and said blood tests came back as vit d deficency. I know u get vit d from sunlight and u dont have to be exposed to it too long to get a sufficent amt.. but i do go out during the day so im not sure why i have this deficiency...
I am now on presciption vitamins 1x weekly for 12 weeks. has anyone been diagnosed with this and outcomes ?

This is always a big topic on Oprah with Dr. Oz. He says that many people have vitamin D deficiency and don't know it. I take 1000 iu of vitamin D daily because of this. Hopefully this will prevent me from a deficiency.

I just had this conversation with my dermatologist. Everyone is now being very careful with sun exposure, but that can causes vitamin D deficiency.
My MD said that pretty soon the recommended daily dose is going to be increased to 3000 IU.

You need more than a little sun exposure these days and sunscreen blocks that so fewer people are getting Vit D that they need. If you take a multivitamin daily you should be fine.
