Sinus problems affecting your neck?
This is going to sound odd but does anyone else get sinus headaches that affect their neck as well??
Every single day I have a sinus headache. I dont know whats going on anymore. The only way I can get through, is to take an aleve cold and sinus pill. They last for 12 hours but as soon as the time is up, and I am talking about down to the second, I am in pain again.
My head pounds, my eyes hurt, my jaw kills me and my neck feels like its in knots. I never knew a sinus headache could affect your neck???
I am starting to wonder if it could be something else? I need to get to a doctor but honestly, I wouldnt even know how to describe all this pain.
Does anyone else get this??

Re: Sinus problems affecting your neck?
Maybe you have swollen glands? or a sinus infection? I would get to a ENT asap. Feel better! I just had this and it was a sinus infection, been on Avelox since Wednesday.

Re: Sinus problems affecting your neck?
yes its possible. i deal with that all the time.
you should get to an ENT dr soon ..they can drain your sinuses or see what else is going on. you may have polyps that need to be removed, or a deviated septum.
Good luck!

Re: Sinus problems affecting your neck?
you could also be getting migranes. a lot of times they feel like sinus headaches (stuffy nose and everything) but aren't.

My dr. told me your sinus' drain by the back of your neck. I never heard of it before but that may be why your neck hurts as well. I know when I have a headache, my neck usually hurts along with it.

it could be what any posters above mentioned....
i however, have pulled muscles in my neck from sniffling! the ONLY thing that keeps the horrid allergy headaches away for me is Zyrtec (or my annual allergy shot - but because i'm pregnant, i wasn't allowed to get it this year).

Re: Sinus problems affecting your neck?
My sinuses have been killing me the last few days but I haven't had neck pain or anything. My head hurts, my nose is running and I have been sneezing and have a little drip in my throat. I have been sluggish also.

Re: Sinus problems affecting your neck?
That is so weird I have that right now. I thought I slept in a bad position the night before last and that was why. I wonder if it's from my sinuses. I never knew that could be a reason.
