NEED MORE RESPONSES! You can just vote without responding! (I really don't wanna buy another long dress that I'm never gonna wear again!)

Re: Black Tie Weddings...
I would either wear a long dress (maybe you have a bridesmaid dress you can recycle?) or a fancy looking tea length dress which I read in some magazine I think that is now considered appropriate for black tie.

Re: Black Tie Weddings...
I probably would, but I am tall and like wearing gowns anyhow.
You could probably get away with a fancy cocktail dress, especially in the warmer months.

Re: Black Tie Weddings...
I went to a black tie wedding and most of the girls were in long dresses and only a handful were in cocktail dresses.
I just bought a long dress with a slit on the side, and i wore it to like 3 more weddings. Just b/c it is a long dress does not mean you wont wear it again to another wedding/event

Re: Black Tie Weddings...
If it says Black tie...you need a long gown.
If it says Black tie optional....you can have a cocktail dress.

Thats exactly how I felt. I didn't wanna wear a cocktail dress and be the only woman in a short dress. I bought a gown that I freaking loooooooooooove! I have to get a hem put in quickly this week, but its so nice! GLAM!

Mine was Black Tie optional. All of the women who were with the men in tuxes wore a gown. Most of the women at my wedding were in gowns no matter what but I feel like if my husband is wearing a Tux then im wearing a gown. If my hubby is in a suit (Three piece) i can wear either. JMO
