if you have/had a student teacher
do you get credits from the college for being a cooperating teacher?
My student teacher starts on Monday fom St. Joseph's College (for 8 weeks - 1/2 semester) and I am wondering if I will be given credits or something for taking her. If so, what do you do with them?

Yes, you do. I had a guidance intern from Queens College, and I got a voucher for 3 free credits. Some people sell these to other teachers or even their student teacher. (In my case that was impossible: QC as a very strict "no substitutions" policy. So the voucher is collecting dust in my office, b/c I don't have time for a class this term).
