Re: Coxsackie virus?
I don't know, I would assume that the symptoms would be the same for an adult as it is for a child.
Fever Sores in the mouth Sores on the palms of the hands and soles of feet.
I know when DS had it, we treated the fever with Tylenol and the ped said to drink milk as it helps to coat the sores in the mouth... and also to eat cold things like ice pops.

Re: Coxsackie virus?
DH and I caught it from DD last thanksgiving. Neither DH nor I had a fever. DD on the other hand had 104.3. I had a horrific sore throat - worse than anything I have every had where I could barely swallow. It depends on what strain you have to what symptoms you get. Not all coxsackies gets blisters on the hands and feet that is only one strain of it.

Re: Coxsackie virus?
I was told it manifests itself more as general malaise, a little feverish but no real fever in an adult.
I'm sure I've had it as an adult because we've dealth with cox sackie more times than I can count.
