Extended day....(NYC)
NYC teachers.....
Can you please share with me how your school puts the 37 1/2 minutes into the day's schedule. Our school is trying to write a SBO to reconfigure the time and would like to know how other schools do it.
We originally had:
Monday- Thursday 8:20-3:17 1/2
Friday: 8:20-2:40
Here is our current situation:
Monday-Wed 8:20- 3:30
Thursday-Friday 8:20 - 2:40

Our day starts at 8, so...
M, T, W 8:00-3:07 1/2 (or something like that  )
Th, F 8:00-2:20 (LOOOOOVE These days!!!)

currently
m-th 8:02-3:00 (extended day is 8:02-8:40)
fri- 8:40-3:00
we have been voting to change it so that we would come in 8:02 and leave an 2:22 but i doubt that would happen

oh so you go a little extra on m-w so you dont have to do it on thur or fri. thats interesting!

M and F 8:10-2:30. T, W, TH 8:10-3:20 It makes going to work on Mondays easier knowing there is no extended day

We do M-Th- 8:00 AM - 2:57 1/2 (extended day is 8:00 AM - 8:37 1/2 AM Mon-Thurs)
and
Friday 8:00 AM - 2:20 PM ( no extended day)

my old school was mon-thurs 8:00-8:37.5 extended day
8:40-2:35 reg day (mon-fri)
my new school is
8:15-2:35 and then 2:35-3:12 extended day mon- thurs
we just passed an SBO vote for next year to absorb the time into the day and will work (if the paperwork gets approved) 8:00-2:50 mon-fri

It is absorbed into our regular day. So our teaching hours are 8:12-2:39 Monday-Friday.

My school:
M-Th 7:45 - 2:42
F: 7:45-2:05
My Dh's school: M-F: 7:50 - 2:50

We did an SBO and do 50 minutes 3 times a week (we skip half a minute- please no one tell Joel Klein )
So our schedule is:
Monday 8:00-2:20
T-W-Th- 8:00- 3:10
Friday 8:00-2:20
Whenever we vote there's only one person who's in favor of the 4x37.5.
ETA- I envy those of you who have it absorbed into the day- but my chapter leader INSISTS that adding it to the day is not an option.

we do 8-830 M-F for extended day
then the actual school day is 830-250
I would love to absorb it into the day!

this is what we do. makes mondays so much easier to get up.
and our chapter leader says the same - don't know why.

Oh, I love this! We do 8:00-2:58 M-Th and 8:00-2:20 on Friday.

We're a multi-session school so we absorbed them into our day. I think our periods went from 41 to 44 or something like that.

Our day starts at 8. Then homeroom until 811. Then periods 1-8. PM homeroom from 211-220, then the 37.5 minutes M-TH 220-257. Friday we leave at 220.
