Should I do something for my student teacher?
Friday will be her last day. We got along for the most part. She did what I asked her to do & she never missed a day. She did an okay job with her responsibilities.
Is it appropriate to get her a gift? The thing is I don't really know her interests all that much, and I don't want to get her any "teacher stuff" because I don't know if she's still planning to work as a teacher (She was miserable student teaching & couldn't wait for the last day to come, so I'm not sure if she's going to want to do this full-time).
I was thinking of taking her out for lunch (since we have a 1.5-hour break only on Thurs, it would have to be tomorrow).
Is that a good idea or should I do something else instead?

I think lunch sounds nice, or you could always get her a gift card to a store she likes! Macy's is a good standard one if you're really not sure!

I got mine a Border's gift card...since I don't know if she'll become a teacher, I figured this covered the "teacher" part and if not, she could buy books for herself. I also had the class make a book for her.
